St. Alban’s
International Gathering--2002
Montreal,
Quebec, Canada
October 11-13
The Gathering took place on a
week-end of perfect weather and was blessed also by the well planned
organization.
On Friday evening, all gathered in
the hospitality room to register and share a bite and welcome refreshments,
which were served until past midnight.
All who participated were very
content and had a great time.
On Saturday morning, the ladies
were offered a bus trip and afterwards reported that it was very enjoyable. This
was followed by a very nice lunch.
After breakfast, the Brethren
gathered in the Lodge room.
The Lodge opened at 11 a.m. and
then at the call-off lunch was served.
After call-on the Grand Master M.W.
Bro. Emanuel U. Liechti and the Grand Lodge Officers
took their respective posts and
performed a superb ceremony of re-consecration in honour of the 75th anniversary
of our Lodge.
The Saturday evening dance, which
was highlighted with fine food, live music, gifts, and dancing lasted until the
wee hours of the morning.
The parting was difficult on Sunday
morning. After breakfast many lingered in the lobby of the hotel still talking
and saying goodbyes.
All in all, it was indeed a very
successful gathering, which we in Montreal will never forget,
And we shall cherish the close
friendships we developed over this short period.
Thank You all for making this a
memorable event.
